On Thursday, July 30, 2026, we’re making improvements to the login and account management processes for Twig Science. This update changes the product's login URL and provides a simplified rostering experience to help you create and manage students, educators, and classes.
Caution
This year, data reports and customized assessments will be archived (in addition to assignments, classes, and student and educator accounts, which have previously been archived each year). However, the Twig Science instructional content and classroom experience will remain the same. You can also download or export your reports and retain access to your customized assessments if you complete the necessary steps before July 30th.
Take action as indicated in the tables below for Teachers and Administrators, and reach out to Imagine Learning Product Support or your Customer Success Manager (CSM) if you have any questions or need additional support.
What is a reset?
A reset, also called a rollover, is the process of preparing returning customers for a new school year.
All returning Twig Science customers will be reset on July 30, 2026. (This standard date eliminates the need to determine the reset date with your CSM as you've done in years past.)
On July 29th, all data points and accounts will be archived, and you can begin rostering for the 2026–27 school year on or after July 30th.
- If you conduct self-managed rostering, you can use the new rostering tools beginning July 30th to upload a CSV file or create accounts individually or in bulk.
- If you're an SSO customer, Imagine Learning will also begin accepting automatic roster syncing for Clever, ClassLink, and SFTP on July 30th.
How do I prepare for the reset?
To help ensure a smooth transition to the new academic year, and preserve data and customized assessments, complete the following role-dependent checklists before July 30th.

Use our checklist to finalize data, prepare for summer programs, and maintain consistency across student records and rostering methods.

| Rostering Method |
Decide if you'll continue using the same rostering method next year. If you'd like to change your rostering method, contact support@imaginelearning.com. Prepare 2026–27 rosters. You may start sharing or uploading them using the new, streamlined rostering tools beginning July 30, 2026. |
| New User ID Management | Plan to assign new, never-before-used user IDs to all incoming students in your SIS. Reusing IDs can result in account errors, incorrect data, and provisioning failures. |
| Existing User ID Management |
Review and archive any user IDs that are no longer active to prevent them from being reused. Archived IDs should not be assigned to new students. Ensure you have a system in place to keep consistent user IDs. Changing IDs year-to-year can disrupt data continuity and result in lost academic records, settings, and access. |
