There are 2 main ways to browse or access assessments. Click on a tab below to learn more.
The Assessment Explorer provides an overview of all the assessments available for a specific module. You can use it to find and preview:
- Pre-Explorations
- Formative Assessments
- Key Language Proficiencies
- Performance Tasks
- Benchmarks and MCAs (Multiple Choice Assessments)
To find assessments for each module:
- Log in to Twig Science Elementary.
- From the top navigation menu, click Assess and then select Assessments Explorer.
- Choose your relevant Grade from the drop-down menu.
- Then select a Module.
- A table will appear listing all assessments that apply to that module. To jump straight to a specific assessment type without scrolling, click one of the green tiles at the top of the list.
Each assessment contains information such as a description, type, and associated standards; the information provided varies depending on the type of assessment. When applicable, you'll have links to the Teacher Edition, Twig Book (student version), and/or Rubric or Progress Tracker. The numbers to the right of the Teacher Edition and Twig Book links are the page numbers you'll be taken to. These resources open in new tabs. - Click View to preview the assessment.
- For Pre-Explorations, Formative Assessments, Key Language Proficiency, and Performance Task, you'll be taken to the lesson plan in a new tab.
- For Benchmarks and MCAs, you are taken to a new tab with the Overview of the assessment in the Assessment Library. From there you can edit, preview, download, and assign the assessment.
The Assessments Library is located within Twig Science Assessments. The Assessments Library contains all Benchmarks and summative assessments. You can browse, filter, and assign assessments from the Assessment Library.
To use the Assessments Library:
- Log in to Twig Science Elementary.
- From the top navigation menu, click Assess and then select Assessments Center.
- Twig Science Assessments open on the Assessments Center tab. In the left navigation sidebar, select Assessments Library.
- Choose a Collection from the Collection drop-down menu.
- To search for assessments by various characteristics:
A. Open the filter on the right side of the page.
B. Make your selections and then click Apply. You can search by standards, grade, assessment type (Benchmark, Resource Cards, or Summative), item type (Essay Response, Single Selection, Multiple Selection, etc.), and Scoring type (Auto-scored, Manual-scored, Mixed-scored, or Non-scored). - Click on the title of the assessment to view it.
- From here you can edit, preview, download, and assign the assessment.
