Twig: Enable Google SSO for Teachers, Students and Admin

 Caution

On July 30, 2026, Twig Science will receive improvements to the login and rostering processes. It will now be easier to create and manage student accounts, teacher accounts, and classes. As a result of the planned enhancements, the information in this article will either no longer apply, or the steps to complete this action will be changing.  

Instructions for the improved processes are available now for preview from the new Setup and Account Management tile at the bottom of the Imagine Classroom Help Center home page. Reach out to Imagine Learning Product Support if you have questions or need assistance determining how to proceed.

District Administrators can enable Google SSO for all users simply by using Google enabled accounts when rostering users.

Google SSO can be used alongside the following rostering methods:

Providing Google enabled accounts via your preferred rostering method, allows all users to log in using the Log in with Google link on our platform.

If your district uses Google Workspace for Education, you will need approve the Twig Science app on your Google Console first. Please read Google's guide: Control which third-party & internal apps access Google Workspace data
