This article applies to Dragonfly, StudySync, Traverse, and Twig Science. StudySync screenshots are used as an example.
With the programs listed above, you can establish an LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) integration with Schoology so teachers can link assignments and enable grade passback between Schoology and the program. This prevents teachers from having to enter grades in multiple locations. Students will also be able to complete and submit their Imagine Learning coursework and then view their grades directly in Schoology*.
*Dragonfly assignments that are only reviewed for completion but do not have a percentage grade will not be captured in the Schoology gradebook.
To set up and configure the LTI integration between Imagine Learning and Schoology:
- Sign in to Schoology.
- Go to the App Center from the right side of the top navigation banner.
- At the top of the page, go to My Developer Apps.
- Click the +App Add button.

Fill out the form with the following information, including copying and pasting the URLs from this table. Then check the box to agree to the terms of service and click Submit.

(Fields where logos can be added are not shown in these screen shots. Uploading images is entirely optional.) - Receive a confirmation; then open the Options drop-down menu and select API Info.
- In the window that opens, copy the Client ID (and then X out of the window).
- Provide the Client ID to your Imagine Learning onboarding agent so they can complete the setup in the Imagine Learning internal LTI tool. You should also let the Imagine Learning agent know if you intend to use the app for SSO only or also for assignment linking and grade passback.
- Click Install LTI 1.3 App to add the app to your organization (and make it available to install in individual courses in a later step).
- Click I Agree.
- Click Continue.
- Select Add to Organization.
- Go to Courses and then create a new course or click on a tile to open the existing course where you want to install the app.
- Near the bottom of the Course Options left navigation sidebar, click the Install Your Apps link.
- In the window that opens, check the box to select the app you just created and then click Submit.
You will receive a confirmation and the app will now appear at the bottom of your Course Options menu. - If you haven't already, add the students and educators to the courses.
- Click Members in the Course Options left navigation sidebar. Then, make sure all educators for the course have administrator permissions. If they are not labeled as Admins, use the gear drop-down menu and select Make Admin. Otherwise, they will not be able to use the tool correctly.
- Once your Imagine Learning onboarding agent informs you that they've completed setup in the Imagine Learning internal system, notify your teachers that they can begin linking assignments and grades.
