Twig Science Elementary has 2 kinds of downloadable resources for families. You can print them and send home physical copies with your students or you can distribute them digitally, such as through email.
- Send home the Family Support flyer once students begin using Twig Science. It provides simple guidance for families and caretakers on how to get their students started, a snapshot of what to expect in the program, and tips for engaging students deeper in their learning at home.
- Distribute the module-specific Family Outreach Letter (FOL) at the start of every Twig Science Elementary module. The Resources section of the first lesson of every Driving Question includes a FOL that summarizes the learning content of the Driving Question and provides parents with suggestions for connecting students’ learning to experiences outside the classroom.
To locate and download Family Outreach Letters on Twig Science Elementary:
- Navigate to your chosen Driving Question (DQ).
- Click on the first lesson in the DQ.
- While staying on the Overview tab, scroll down to the Resources section.
- Click Family Outreach Letter 2.
