Twig Science provides 2 kinds of downloadable resources for families. You can print them and send home physical copies with your students or you can distribute them digitally, such as through email.
- Send home the Family Support flyer when students first begin using Twig Science. It provides simple guidance for families and caretakers on how to get their students started, a snapshot of what to expect in the program, and tips for engaging students deeper in their learning at home.
- Distribute the module-specific Family Outreach Letter (FOL) at the start of every Twig Science module. The Resources section includes a FOL that summarizes the learning content and provides parents with suggestions for connecting students’ learning to experiences outside the classroom.
Click the tab corresponding with the version of the program you're using to learn how to locate the Family Outreach Letters.
To locate and download Family Outreach Letters on Twig Science Elementary:
- From within a Module, select a Driving Question (DQ).
- Click on the first lesson in the DQ.
- While staying on the Overview tab, scroll down to the Resources section.
- Click Family Outreach Letter.

Click Download.
Note
Click Spanish before clicking Download if you prefer the Spanish version of the letter.

To locate and download Family Outreach Letters on Twig Science Middle School:
- Select a Grade and Module from the menus at the top of the Lesson Explorer.
- Select the Resources tab.
- In the Planning Resources section, click the Family Outreach Letter tile.
