Twig Elementary: Viewing the online Twig Book

The digital version of the printed Twig Book (student workbook) is available in four versions: English, English with example answers, Spanish, and Spanish with example answers.

Use the lesson’s Twig Book drop-down menu to open the version you need. This article shows how to find each version and explains why some pages display answer guidance instead of a single example answer.

To access and use the online Twig Book:

  1. Log in to Twig Science Elementary.
  2. Use the Lesson Explorer to navigate from a grade level to a module to a Driving Question.
  3. Click a lesson tile in the Full Course Lessons, Fast Track Lessons, or Twig Coach Lessons section of the Driving Question page.

  4. The lesson opens; click Twig Book underneath the lesson's title.  Then select a version of the book from the drop-down menu choices.

    • The first option, Digital, is the teacher view of the student lesson.
    • All other options are student views with different language settings and answer displays.

Why some pages show answer guidance instead of example answers:

In the Twig Book with answers, you may notice that some answers are missing. This is because some questions are open-ended and could warrant many answers. When this is the case, we provide high-level guidance instead of a specific answer.

You will see in the example below that specific answers are in black text, while answer guidance appears in blue.
