Twig Elementary: Enabling screen readers on lesson assets and PDFs

Our in-product SpeechStream Read Aloud tool is available in all digital lessons. 

 Note

To have a PDF read aloud, use any document reader that you've installed separately on your device.

To enable the Read Aloud screen reader:

  1. From the Teach tab, drill down into a Full Course, Fast Track, or Twig Coach lesson. (Modules > Driving Question > lessons page.)

  2. Click on Read Aloud.

  3. In the menu that opens, use the Play and Stop buttons to have the text on the page read out loud.

  4. For PDFs: Click on an asset, then download it and use a screen reader to read it aloud. 
    A. Click on the resource to open it.

    B. Click Download PDF.

     Notes

    • Flipbooks (Leveled Readers) are downloaded via the download icon.
      Download flipbook 2.jpg
    • Leveled Readers are not available in all states.

    C. Open the download and use your screen reader to read it aloud.
