How to use teaching notes

Teaching notes is a helpful tool for planning lessons. They can be used for reference and guidance while presenting a lesson to students.

 Note

Only teachers can view the Teaching notes.

Viewing the Teaching notes

In Lesson Plans, notes are turned on by default. To hide them in a lesson, click on "Notes" in the navigation toolbar.

Editing your personal teaching notes

Lesson Plans come with built-in teacher notes, but you can edit them if you are working with your personal copy of a Lesson Plan. The following steps show you how to edit Teaching notes.

In your Lesson Plan copy, click Actions > Edit.

Navigate to the card you want to edit the Teaching notes, and click on "Edit Card."

You can remove and add content in the Teaching notes field. Notice that there is a toolbar for customizing your notes. You can add links, images, and standards.

Saving the Teaching notes

Once you have finished editing the Teaching notes, click "Save" in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Using Teaching Notes in assessments

You can also use Teaching notes for Assessments.

 Permission

The ability for teachers to edit Teaching notes depends on whether your organization allows teachers to create copies of Assessments.
